Friday, March 23, 2012 at 9:40AM Wow - what a crazy several months it has been trying to get two books into virtual book stores! No complaints though - all is well.
When I decided to start Definitive Words - it was on the strength of "Twist of Time" - the fabulous book by Aidan Stonecross. Soon after, I was blessed with a second incredible book, "Pittsburg Landing" by Robert Burns Clark. And so, the quest continues to get these books, and these authors, out into the etherial confines of Cyberspace.
Anybody know how to get Apple to get back with me? Ahh, another story for another day.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 7:13PM A great journey begins with a few small steps - and we have made a few giant ones! Definitive Words is proud to welcome Robert Burns Clark to the fold. Clark's first book for Definitive Words, Pittsburg Landing, will be available for download at the end of this month.
This is a fabulous book- rich in characters, love and tragedy. Clark comes from a large extended family of storytellers, and from the opening pages of Pittsburg Landing, you can tell that that storytelling talent rubbed off. With the Civil War as a backdrop, the battle of Pittsburg Landing to be exact, Clark weaves the reader through the lives of men, women and boys - from both sides of the conflict.
The first book we brought into Definitive Words, Twist of Time by Aidan Stonecross, is equally brilliant in its vibrant story, powerful yet complicated characters, and its ability to draw the reader completely into the world of Templar Knights, and modern-day intrique and romance.
We are extremely proud of both books, and we know that readers will find the stories as fascinating as we have.

Welcome to the new blog journal for Definitive Words Cyber Publishing. It has been a long time in the making, and if what they say is right ... hard work is hard work ... well, they ain't kidding folks.
It has been a crazy few months, but our first title is up on Amazon as of today, 05/27/2011 - and I'm taking a few moments to celebrate the small victories! To smell the roses ... to savor the coffee ... COFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, now that's what I need to really celebrate this small victory! As a matter of fact - make mine a tall victory.
Twist of Time by Aidan Stonecross is a book worth checking out. Heck, it's why I started this company. It's why I look forward to reading your comments and reviews of the book in the coming months.
The next battle - getting the finished, "pristine" ePUB file. Does anyone know what a pain in the a$$ it is to get a clean, no errors, no "funky" characters, version of an ePUB? Well, I'm here to tell you that I didn't know, but, live and learn, right? In fact, sometime I'm going to show you some of the "early attempts" at converting the Word file to ePUB format - "One paragraph, no spaces, no commas or periods - for 259 pages" (I'm not kidding). I don't have much hair left (and even less sanity), but in a few days, I'll have the finished ePUB. Which means that all you Nook, iPad and other e-Readers will have your versions for sale very soon after!!
I will also have a 3 chapter preview for download in PDF format for those who like to "try before you buy" - I'm betting that once you read the first chapter you won't need to read the next two before you purchase the book.
